Hey Mate, Glad to see you're still alive and kicking! *purry cougar hugs!* - Also congratulations on taking steps towards getting healthier! I'm really proud of you =) I look forward to hearing about your progress over the coming months.

Take care of yourself, and hopefully we'll talk soon enough!

Temba.

*hugs and licks* Thanks a lot hon. I am kinda proud of myself as well for taking these steps. I really do think that my size is holding me back from far too much be it travel or getting a new job.

I miss ya kitty.

Bariatric surgery? Sounds quite drastic.

It is drastic, but not without serious thought before hand. I have tried numerous diets, medications, other things and they have not been the correct tool for me. This appears to be the ideal way to get myself on a road to better health.

*cheers you on* My wife had her bypass about two months ago, she was down prior to her surgery about the same amount you are. It has taken her some getting used to as for the first little bit you won't be able to feel that you are full and if you end up anything like she did you won't be able to drink the protein shakes as after over two weeks of them to make sure that her liver was a small as it was going to get her body decided it had had enough.

But other then that she hasn't really found it to be that much of a hassle just need to remember to not push yourself after the surgery, and eat properly as the message board that she is part of is full of stupid women that keep making themselves sick from not eating right.

Thanks for the words of encouragement Nev. I have been reading a lot of the materials that I have been provided, and a lot of the changes will be difficult. I am sure that I will be hitting the reasources even harder once I get a confirmed date.
