yeah, that is kind of how it has felt to me, but I wasn't sure if it was just my natural tendency to feel like I am being picked on...
it is pretty unfair. as partners we go through a lot of the same stuff that trans folks do.... like, in my case, a need for a serious shift in my sexuality. (was straight.... now...?)
I wish we could all just realize that, except for a few key points, we are kind of all in the same boat. And there is no shame in having trouble dealing with it sometimes, or in not knowing everything about it, or in learning new things as we go.
I got told off one time because I said that in my experience, transgender FTM's seem to treat me very well and make me feel loved and sexy. It seemed kind of silly to berate me about it, so I know what you are speaking about here. I don't understand a lot of the rhetoric.
I can't even think of anything in that statement that could be criticized... At the very worst I suppose you could say it is positive stereotyping..... but not even really that because you said you are speaking from your own experience!
That exactly the crap I am talking about! I mean, seriously, do these people just pick through every post trying as hard as possible to find something to criticize? Grrrr....
