I have read LJ posts from MtFs who said they felt their sexual preferences swung in a different direction after hormones, some of said they didn't change at all. As with all relationships, it all boils down to trust and faith ^_^ My girlfriend considers herself a lesbian. She has always liked women, and never felt attracted to men.
However, some transwomen feel forced to pursue a relationship with a woman, as a way of proving how "manly" they are and suppressing their trans feelings. Then, after they come out, they feel freer to express their sexuality and experiment with some things. Or some transwomen desire sex with men, but feel uncomfortable having sex with men because they're viewed and treated as a gay man, when really they want to be viewed and treated as a straight woman.

Relax... talk to each other... hormones aren't a magical bullet that will "switch" someone's orientation overnight, and everyone's situation is different. It sounds like you and Adam have a great relationship; I hope things continue like that for you!

^_^
