because I have so much to get done today. I finally decided to stop playing nice with the ex. Yes, I know, I ended the relationship, but I did not do it just to piss him off... as everything he does now is specifically aimed at pissing me off. Said he couldnt believe I would leave him for a "girly man." LOL! He apparently thinks the girly part is ( Read more... )

There is DEFINITELY some overlap. My girl has been post-transition for 3 years and is constantly asking questions like "is my forehead bigger?" "are you sure my nose looks the same?" Despite the hormones, she's terrified of masculinizing-- which isn't even possible as long as she stays on anti-androgens ( ... )

~ well, part of it is that she may not have been wearing her hips and butt to try and make you happy - even though you didn't ask for it. and really the onl thing you can do about someone else's body image issues is express your opinion and let them know that if they are doing something that makes them more comfortabe with their body, you don't want them to stop ( ... )

I love your body... sorasabi March 25 2008, 13:39:17 UTC
I have something similar with Alice. I think she's really gorgeous and sexy, but one of the reasons she was scared to come out to me was because I was always telling her how sexy she was! I'd never found a naked man sexy until I met her, and I told her so. She was worried that that meant I wouldn't find her attractive as a woman. But since she's started presenting as female full time I find her even sexier! And I will say to her "I love you body... and I'm sure I'll love it even more in the future." Because she does still need reassurance on that part...

sighs-
GOds- this sounds like conversations in MY house sometimes.
I'm a big girl who has NEVER been happy with my body.
Then I hear my partner talking about wanting to look like me.
And it hurts- because I don't WANT to look like this.

Like I said to one person- I love the person, not necessarily the gender. And I mean it- When Heidy came out- the love didn't change.

Yep, EXACTLY. I would LOVE to have Anna's "small" butt. I could wear low rise jeans and sit down without flashing half my ass to the world! Some days I love my curves, but most of the time I wish I was taller and thinner...
