Though Anna, in many ways, is a confident person, she is also in many ways very shy. Insecure is probably a better word. She is an interesting mix of the two... Her insecurities drive me crazy because she is such an incredibly intelligent, witty, strong, and kind person with absolutely no reason to look down on herself... but I digress! There's a line between encouraging her to take initiative herself and planning it for her, if that makes sense. It's all well and good to say "hey I think it would be really great if you did x," or to help her out if she asks for it/make sure she knows the offer is open. But at the same time, she's an adult and you're not her parent, you know? If you offer and she turns you down, it's not your job to push her to do it.

I love the term "trangsty," LOL, it made me giggle. Yeah, I have decided after yesterday that she really does need me to push a bit, I just have to try to ride that fine line...
