Got to work to the news Harry Morgan died. He was 96. He could make me well up just by putting a catch in his voice. I foresee a M*A*S*H marathon tribute.

I think Colonel Potter was my very favorite character on MASH. Kind and compassionate, he had seen what horrors war could bring, but never let it harden him too much.

He really is an awesome character - a true leader without being a bully, a gentleman, a dedicated surgeon and just what those crazy loons needed to help them keep it together.

Yeah, it's weird when those people who're woven into your childhood memories (albeit without knowing it) start to pass away. I hope he knew how dearly he was regarded by his fans.
