Poor Dean, it just doesn't end does it.
Great job

Dean's headspace is a fright at this point in the show, and a bit depressing to get into (and therefore awfully interesting). I'm so glad you liked robo-Sam: I find him very difficult to understand, so getting the balance right between feigned niceness and cold practicality was quite a challenge.
Thanks so much for reading, and for your lovely compliments!

And you capture his head space at that time so brilliantly. Knowledge of Sam's soullessness was just new and Dean clearly had a hard time of it - which we didn't get enough of in Show! (I checked - it was just 5 episodes that we knew about it before Sam's soul was restored!) And you did here what I think fanfic is all about - you went and showed us what happens in between episodes. In my mind this is what really happened to them in that time when we switch off our TV sets.
In this fic I especially liked in a pool of your own idiocy (10 000 points for brilliant metaphor!) and Sam's still just a memory that hurts in the pit of his stomach so bad that some mornings he can't eat breakfast. Ouch, this one just about killed me. I think mostly because in Show we got more of Dean being creeped out by Robo!Sam, but you show us the real pain he feels ( ... )

And I'm so happy you liked this one - I actually wrote this waaay back in May and just kept putting off posting it because I felt so fondly towards it, but wasn't sure if it would really click for other people. So all of your lovely feedback is deeply appreciated (even more than usual!). I'm so glad you found Dean's headspace genuine here; I find it awfully difficult to write from his POV, and we get so little indication of what's going on in his head at this point in canon that it was doubly hard.
But this: you did here what I think fanfic is all about - you went and showed us what happens in between episodes. I can't say how glad I am that I could do that for you, because that's exactly what I see, too, as the purpose of fanfic. And considering how much S6 in particular needs precisely that kind of fan supplement, this is the highest praise I could possibly ask.
