*glows*

You... this... Fireflyyyyyyyyyyyyy... I just... :DDDDDDD

I read this all curled up with a smile on my face and this happy warm feeling, like a purring cat. And I laughed. You kept making me laugh.

Maaaalllllll.

Jayne incapacitated by bread.

River knowing alllll about Dean oh my gosh man. That was so perfect. And Simon looking like a prick. YES. A WORLD OF YES.

And the way everybody talked all them-like. And the dinner table! Do you know how long I've been prompting for the dinner table? And Kaylee smelling like home because of the engine grease and cheap soap. YOU KILL ME WITH THE GOOD.

Thank you thank you thank you.

*hugs you tight*

This is so amazing. I'm generally not one for crossovers, but how can you pass up Firefly nostalgia? I adore the way you wove these two 'verses together, and the Amy/Kaylee bit was a great touch. I came here from mad_server's rec and god, the comfort of Serenity's camaraderie and their wonderful dialogue here is so right. I love this. <33

Thank you so much! Oddly enough, I'm not usually one for crossovers either - the idea's fun, but it usually feels forced to me, so this was definitely a departure for me (but, as you say: FIREFLY. How could I resist that?). These two 'verses just fit so beautifully in my head, and I'm so glad it rang true for you as well.

AW. This is lovely! I love all the little moments as Dean sorts out who he's fallen in with and evaluates whether or not they're going to eat him. I'm a sucker for situations where characters who've been beaten down end up somewhere better than they were expecting, and you have that in spades.

I wanted this to go on forever. I want to hug it and coo over it. :)

Paranoid Dean is just plain fun to write. And I love what you've said here: I'm a sucker for situations where characters who've been beaten down end up somewhere better than they were expecting. You've put into words exactly what I loved about this prompt. Thanks so much for reading!

I love this!

Dean would be a perfect fic for Mal's crew. And the way you made use of Amy/Kaylee was ingenious. :-)

Thanks! Dean really would fit in well on Serenity, I think....
