Hey LJ!

Mar 18, 2013 14:27

It's been a while (alas, the black hole that is tumblr), but it's spring break and I only have ten books to read this week and I've missed y'all, so:  Hello and happy spring! (more or less.  I write from the land of eternal snow and below-zero temperatures, so let's use "spring" as a metaphorical term here)

A rough summary of my life at the moment ( Read more... )

this is just to say, ignore me i'm happy talking to the void

Winter storm warning and below zero wind chills here today...spring break too. Sort of in-your-face irony...I swear the hold muzac I'm listening to now is some Celtic lament and before that was Vivaldi's Winter. Tea and biscuits sound good. At this point, I will take any sort of spring - metaphorical, actual, hallucinated, imagined, mechanical...puts the tea kettle on in your honor.

*raises fourth mug of tea since breakfast* Hooray for spring(-ish) break! I'm holding on to the thought that by April, at least, the universe won't have the nerve to keep dumping snow everywhere.

Winter seems pretty persistent in my corner of the world as well. Like a last screw you before it finally goes away? *sighs*

Nice to hear that academics are positively brain-munchy. Also, your no 5 totally cracks me up. Dude, I so get it. Though I sometimes really wish I didn't *arranges all her things on the coffee table in alphabetical order, whistles innocently*

I know, right? All I ask is a sunny Easter. I imagine, for my area's climate, that's far too much to ask.

*meticulously executed OCD high-five*

Re #3: You me and sparrow need to have a BrBa pow wow. Cause damn that show.

This pow wow is long overdue. (Also, ICON?//? Pardon me while I go and wibble in the corner, because I'm clearly not at all over Jesse and his stupid adorable face.)

I have deep, torrential wells (yes, I just used the word "torrential" to describe some holes in the ground) of Jesse feels that refuse to go away. Why is there basically no BrBa fandom and how can we fix this.

Eeee the icon. I had to pay homage to the (SPOILER) masterful go-kart-screamathon and the subsequent loss of Jesse's beautiful hair.

Torrential is the only word to describe the wells of feeling I have for Jesse Pinkman. I get you, man. (And the lack of a fandom means that I don't even know where to begin dealing with them. So far I've mainly used the method of beating my head against walls. I think I need a more constructive channel for my emotions.)

um yes the loss of Jesse's beautiful hair remains the major tragedy in my life tbh

Hiya!

We had 'spring' (seventies, small breeze, sunny) for about three days two days ago. Last night - thunder, lightening, monsoon rain and then *ice*.

This week? Supposed snow. We shall see.

I, too, have many fics sitting idle and it makes me feel...grumpy. I need to write! I just can't seem to.

Those little interludes of spring in the middle of winter are maddening - we had one too last week (though I'm pretty sure the temp didn't go past 60), and then the weekend came and we're back under a half-foot of snow again. :(

Writer's block is the worst. :/ Sometimes I wish I could just write some absolute rubbish, just to be writing, period. But no...
