Hey babe, sorry I missed this. I haven't tried it out for the same reason as you, but can confirm that Dragon works (if you have a good system and invest time in training it/yourself). From what I hear, the voice recog for older Macs is pretty much worthless unless you're desperate.

OS X does have a few voice commands, though.
