Modafinil

Has anyone every taken Modafinil? I wondered because I might start taking it. I need a couple of extra hour in my day and would like to get up earlier. I normally wouldn't touch drugs with a 80ft barge pole but I'm tired of being tired and lacking in cognitive abilities because of it.
