your trip sounds really fascinating. when i was a little kid I always wanted to be an archaeologist when i grew up so I'm living vicariously through your journal these days!

Sorry to hear about the mouth infection; I hope it clears up fast! be careful with it; I had one of those several years ago and it put me flat on my back for 3 weeks!
