Dear Yuletide Writer
It's another Yuletide, and I could not be more excited that you're going to write a story in one of my fandoms. If you already have an idea, I'm sure I'll love it. But if you'd like some guidance about the things I like, here it is.
Things That Make Me Happy
I love angsty stories and hurt/comfort. I love banter. I love competent characters behaving competently. I love plotty stories. I love character studies. I love happy endings. I like unhappy endings, if they're of the magnificently tragic variety. I prefer slash, but like gen. No matter the relationship, emotional intimacy that matters more to me than the physical sort, though I wouldn't turn down some rousing physical intimacy. While I most want to see the characters listed, I am fond of seeing other characters in the fandoms and how they all interact. And I'm not averse to OC's, if they're well drawn and essential to the plot. Crossovers are also awesome, so if you find a way to crossover two or more of these fandoms, especially the MCU-actor lead ones, that would be fab. TJ running into Colin and Ally, or growing up in the world of Push and getting involved with Nick would all make me happy.
Things I Can Do Without
I'd prefer no non-con or rape. I do not get crack!fic, song!fic or the A/B/O trope. I dislike seeing competent characters acting stupidly. I'm iffy on BDSM and most kink. Mpreg isn't quite my thing either.

Political Animals
Sebastian Stan and TJ were what sucked me into this show, and though it turns out I love pretty much every character and all their crazy flaws, TJ is still the one I love most. I hurt when he screws up and am hopeful when he takes steps in the right direction. I'd love to see him find happiness, to see him shake the hold his addictions have on him. I'd love to see more of him and his grandmother together. Margaret is the one in the family that seems to care for TJ most, and the one whose good opinion TJ most cares about. And I'd love to see more of his brother or his father trying to protect him, and more of his complicated relationship with his mother. And finally, I'd love to see him find a boyfriend who'd actually look after him, not just someone who wants to shag the ex-president's son, and not someone who'll cut and run when he needs them.
Push
What I'm most interested in is seeing Nick surviving as an expat American in Asia. How did he survive after his dad died? Or what happens to him and Cassie next? Or anything in between. Please note, I see Nick and Cassie as having an older brother, younger sister relationship, so please don't have them romantically involved, even if you age up Cassie.
Magnificent Seven (2016)
I came out of this movie desperate to know more about Goodnight Robicheaux and Billy Rocks. How did they meet; how did their partnership form; what do they mean to each other? So, give me a first meeting. Give me a scam they ran that didn't work out quite to plan. Show me something about their lives before the movie. Or give me a miracle and save them at the end and show me how they might spend their lives afterward. Just give me more of these two fascinating men. Slash or gen, either would work for me.
West Coast Avengers
I love Kate Bishop and her wacky superhero found family. I especially love Gwenpool and her adorable predator pet, Landshark Jeff most of all. So, give me Gwen hijinks. Give me Jeff saving the day, or the team saving Jeff. Give me a glimpse of what their documentary film crew really think of the West Coast Avengers. Whatever you come up with, I'm sure it'll be fun.
Stumptown
I've fallen hard for this show. I started watching because the role of Dex seemed like a perfect fit for Cobie Smulders, with lots of sass and sarcasm and a side helping of trauma. But the rest of the cast have also won me over. I like the platonic friendship Dex has with Grey. I like the way Dex and Miles have this perfect mixture of attraction, respect and annoyance for each other. I like Sue Lynn, how she's a forceful woman in charge and has a grudging respect for Dex. And I love Dex's crappy car with its haunted cassette player. I'd love to see more of Dex's relationship with any of the characters I've listed. I'd like to see a younger Dex spar with Sue Lynn over Dex dating her son. I'd like to see Dex in the army, before Benny died. I'd like to see her after she got back from Afghanistan. I'd like to see her becoming a more professional P.I., but still screwing up because she can't help it. I'd like to see her and Miles working out more what they mean to each other. I'd like to see her helping Grey, and Grey helping her. Whatever direction you decide to go in, I'm sure it'll be great.
In the end, I hope you write something that gives you joy. That's sure to bring me joy as well.
