Ah! This was exactly the type of entry that I was hoping you'd post soon. Thank yoooouuu~ <3

Though~ I have a question that I'm (also) hoping you'll cover in the type tutorials. I love how you and several of the more popular icon makers get your type: the... I don't know how to really explain it... how it looks somewhat color burned, but isn't. The 'corpse' in your icon and the 'patterns' are somewhat examples of what I'm talking about. I love how bright and colorful the words are, and also how clear they are, and... well, I just can't figure out how to achieve that affect. >>;; Anyway, was just curious to see if you would be covering it later.

Thank you again for putting up these tutorials. They're all awesome thus far. ^^

It's one of the blending effects. They work on pretty much everything.

Maybe this is a stupid question, but were those checkered squares behind Lina always there? Cause I was kinda wondering about how to do that...o_O constantly. (My wording sucks -- I just woke up). Thanks again!

it's one of the other filters.

When I go to elminate the white from the pattern after filling the layer with it, I got to filter but I do not get the Transparency option...

When you download the filter, there should be directions included on how to install it. After you install it, you will need to restart photoshop.

I restarted photoshop, remade a new layer, filled it with the pattern, but it is still not giving me the Transparency option under the filter drop down. :\

Could you explain filters a little more? i have no idea what those are, etc?

this was about patterns, not filters.

i know, but you mentioned needing the Eliminate White filter. so i had to skip all that when trying to follow the tutorial. :)

Ah, well what I mentioned was all that's really needed for following this, because then the overlay doesn't work properly

Hm.. I was wondering, if you made the white in your pattern transparent, wouldn't that save you the step of not having to use the "eliminate white" filter?

But thank you! I never knew that such a filter existed until today.
