Rodenticide place packs. They have worked very well for me for years.

Get a terrier, that's what they were bred for! :-)

I think the best thing to do is adopt it. They are very cute and cuddly! *snicker*

I've had good luck with snap traps with craisins smashed into the trigger so that the mouse can't run off with the bait without springing the thing. It's not particularly humane, but you need to take the live trap several miles away to keep them from coming right back in, too.
