May his memory be eternal...

A friend, but mostly a beloved Spiritual leader in Ohio has fallen asleep in the Lord.  The Very Reverend Father Elias Meena and his gentle soul, much like his revered and respected father The Very Reverend Father James Meena, touched many a life in Northeast Ohio and beyond.  He will be sorely missed and we ask that he pray for us!

Hi there, I was looking around your blog and found this post. Fr. Elias brought my wife and I into Orthodoxy, and he was the first person to confirm my vocation to the priesthood. He was a wonderful man, and I knew him less than a year; I truly owe him a great debt. I enjoy your blog-it's an inspiration to me. I will be speaking to Bishop MARK on March 8th to discuss future plans for seminary. Please pray for me!

My prayers will be with you in the future and especially on March 8th. As his Grace will be in Ohio during that time and as Fr. Elias' Mission was in Ohio, can I assume that you're a Buckeye?? If so, my wife & family will be at St. Mark, Youngstown on March 12th and we would love to meet your family and chat about plans for seminary. It is for the tonsuring of a reader, the ordination of a subdeacon, and God-willing a deacon (said deacon being me...so pray for me as well). Would love to talk with you further.

Your servant,
David

David,

We are indeed Buckeyes, Mentor to be specific! I think that it would be great to meet with you and your family, I will talk to my wife and get back to you. Can you give me your email? Mine is: portertm at gmail dot com

Congratulations on your impending ordination. Axios, I am sure.

In Christ,

Mike
