(no subject)
Hey gang,
OK, firstly, I thought I'd do an introduction to me - why don't you introduce yourselves too, cos I like to know who I'm playing with!
I'm Rachel and I live in the UK (which helps with the whole English-talk, lol). I'm currently at university studying for a masters in Medieval Studies. Buffywise I'm a big Spuffy fan though I hope Buffy's gonna be less of a beeatch than she was in season 7! (Did anyone else want to smack her?!) The main reason I joined the comm is I haven't had a chance to write a Buffy/Spike relationship and I think it would be good.
Now for some thoughts about the game. Firstly, can we please have no spoilers for Angel series 5! As I'm in the UK I haven't seen it, so I don't wanna know what happens! I do know that Spike ended up as a ghost in LA and somehow got his body back, so let's assume that happened. I'm gonna presume that the only reason he didn't go see Buffy when he became corporeal was that he didn't know where she was, because I think that Spike (as written for Buffy anyway, if not how he appears in Angel) would never have been alive and not gone after the woman he loves! So he needs to find out where Buffy is, and then he can find her. I think I'd like it if Buffy didn't know he was alive until she sees him, so we can have some angsty goodness! :)
I have no big thoughts for Spike except that he'll want to be wherever Buffy is, and will be happy to help her kick demon butt. I don't think the 2 of them should get together straight away though - it'd probably be a bit more interesting if it was complicated. Whaddya think?
One setting for the game could be the setting up of a new watchers' council, but I think we'd need a lot more players for that to happen, including originals (see my game, nancytribe, for examples!). So maybe Buff and the gang are a bit more "freelance" for now. Setting it in London seems popular, which would work if we have a Giles - since he's like Buffy's dad it might make sense for them to live there. As I suggested in a comment below, maybe Willow would want to go to university there. There's probably as many demons in London as anywhere else! :)
