i went to the mall today and got very freaked out. i just went real quick to buy a copy of Franny and Zooey and I couldn't wait to escape. It wasn't a feeling like I wasn't supposed to be there, I just got overwhelmed. It was so frightening. I don't know what triggered it. Well, no more people for the rest of the day, so its ok

i'm doing a similar paper on james joyce and his life. similarly boring. but steve bought me the memoirs of salinger's daughter a while back and it has a lot of info on his religious practices. i guess it's too late to borrow it? he is basically insane and went through seven different religions among them...er...something in which it was important that you leave food in a special box to get rid of negative energy...something like that.
