something in your peripheral vision catches your eye. you turn and see the car that is about to crash smash into the vehicle you are secured in. nothing slows down. time doesn't stop. but in that split second before impact there's a great calm. an all-encompassing sense of acceptance. not enough time for emotions to even register. not surprise or ( Read more... )

The feeling where your consciousness stays in the car but it feels like your body kept driving, and you can't feel anything but that. It's exhilirating.

Maybe because you come so close to death but then don't die. You're ready to let it all go because you think you'll have to. It's all out of your hands and you're flying freely.

I don't know though, because I've never been in a car crash.
