Last night, one of my students was shot in the chest in a drive by shooting. He was inside his house with his family. Someone drove by and fired about 20 AK -47 rounds into the house, killing a 26 year old man who was allegedly the target, and wounding my student severely. Another boy, 4, was hit in the shoulder

It is sad enough that there are people in the world that think pointing automatic weapons at each other is the answer to every problem... the saddest thing is always that good, solid, innocent kids are always caught in the crossfire.

I pray that he recovers.

Wow, I never think of things like this actually happening. It's like something from a cliché movie about growing up in L.A. I hope he pulls through, and I hope you'll keep us updated.
