There's a Path You Take and a Path Not Taken

The most popular request amongst my list of potential posts from way back in January of last year was one about various fictional timelines I've thought of creating and putting online at The History of Things That Never Were (increasingly out-of-date though it is) to join such perennial favourites as my Firefly Timeline, my Kindred: The Embraced Read more... )

sex and the city, highlander, kindred: the embraced, timelines, metafiction, degrassi

I'm thinking that a Sons of Anarchy timeline could be interesting, but I sure as hell am not rewatching the entire series, especially after that season finale. :/

I haven't watched Sons of Anarchy myself, but I did read elsewhere on LiveJournal about the brutal season finale...

I imagine such a timeline would be similar to a Sopranos Timeline (which I've also briefly considered, though I didn't go into it here), in that you could spell out the history of various conflicts, grudges, rivalries, and so forth mentioned over the course of the series.

What an interesting idea -- I was unaware that this was a "thing" out there. ;-) I'm most interested in Farscape, and do actually have intentions of re-watching that whole series at some point. I remember the fiction as being a bit uneven, but I think I still have the ones I read. Would have to track down the others and the comics if I were to tackle a timeline.

Hmmm.....

Is there a nuBSG timeline? (Don't feel you have to answer; this just occurred to me, but I realize I can go and check the link you included at the beginning!)

I was sure you were already aware of all the fictional timeline stuff I do!

At any rate, I would love to see (and would be happy to link to) any Farscape Timeline you eventually put together. I can't even recall whether I finished reading the only novel in that franchise I own, Ship of Ghosts, but the online reviews seem to indicate that it's terrible. :/ Everyone who creates a timeline for something with tie-ins ends up making their own decisions about whether and how much to include that ancillary material.

The only Battlestar Galactica Timeline for the reimagined series that I'm aware of which is still around is this one, though as a matter of policy (and sanity maintenance :)) I don't link to wiki-made timelines from my own site.
