The melancholy tone I articulated in
last year's holiday post continues unabated...just like everything else this year.
Many people are referring to 2021 as "2020 Part II" and 2022 as "2020 Part III" based on all that has happened (or not happened) over the past twelve months, and I can understand why--events start to blur together and traditional divisions of one time period from another start to seem rather meaningless. I feel like I just did that other holiday post, and I haven't managed to post anything here between then and now, despite spending the vast majority of my time this year near the means to do so.
With all of time becoming one, then, a nostalgic mashup seems appropriate. For whatever reason, videos connected to Doctor Who seem to come up repeatedly under this tag--as my posts from
2009 and
2013 will attest--so I thought I'd return to that franchise with a cover from the season's most affectionate (?) Dalek:

Happy Holidays, everyone! If I learned nothing else from the premiere of
