The place: Nexus. The time: late evening, fading quickly into dusk. The situation: completely normal.
... or so it seems. The hubbub of the marketplace is winding down for the day while simultaneously gearing up for more...nightly pursuits. Merchants hawk their wares. People stop to talk, chatter, do business. And to one of the street, an extremely wealthy-looking cart has stopped, with a pair of guards hurrying out to gawk at it. They know they've been robbed--are expressing that fact rather loudly, in fact--and are quick to shift the blame in any way that seems remotely viable. One thing is clear: the Hsiung family will not be pleased with this.
Almost nobody notices the utterly unremarkable dark figure wandering casually away from the cart. Almost.
