Day 606, You Can't Tell Me...

Sep 05, 2005 09:52

Whether you love or hate--as in my case--the President, you can't sit there telling me he's doing the best he can given the situation. That's straight up bullshit. Whatever side you're on politically, you can't be happy with how this administration has taken so long to respond ( Read more... )

I'm not sure what you'd consider winning; I think he's won a lot. He got into college because of his daddy. He missed the Vietnam war because of his daddy, not to mention any punishment for treason via deserting. He was put into office with help of his brother. He gets a chance to bleed patriotism, but not his, only the sons of mothers that will mourn everafter. And, all the religious buffs eat him up like he's the Passover bread ( ... )

"there was only ONE crane out of multiple dozens doing the work."

Yeah, maybe it wasn't made clear. The multiple dozens of relief equipment were moved and taken away once the President was gone. On national TV, you watch as the Senator is crying her eyes out as she's been deceived like everyone fucking else that's put any faith in that sick motherfucker. Yeah, I love cursing.

If you can get some people together to pay for it, I'll drive it there. I've already given my last $40 to Red Cross charity. Now, some people may laugh and scowl at such a meager amount, but that's all I have -- every last cent. I was supposed to fill my gas tank in my Camaro once more, but the tragedy of me not going to college classes to the tragedy of thousands of people dying every day in New Orleans is like comparing an ant in size to the entire solar system. I'll do what needs to be done. That's all I can offer.

Well, are you satisfied with the almost week-long reaction of the President? Was it ok for FEMA to wait 5 hours after the storm cleared to ask if 1000 workers could be sent to help, which took them more than two days to get there before they could actually help?

Go ahead. What is your opinion(s)? What is your fact(s)? Show me your research. How do you feel about this?
