Some modafinil would be pretty neat right now. But that is of course why I don't have any, and probably shouldn't ever have any.

Went on a lovely summer bike ride today, and found tons of amazing fruit trees!

• mulberries! not many ripe ones, but I think in about a week or two, there will be mulberry jam! and maaaaaybe mulberry wine?! I flippin' hope there will be enough!

Sungolds = delicious! I have this all-encompassing urge to save every single last seed so I can plant a million vines and eat them forever!

Been spending a lot of time out in the ol' HP, with some good friends. Two weekends ago, we went out to Angeles National Forest, and did a lovely, if very very dusty, hike.

I've spent about $45 on mushrooms this week. oh boy! i should really just move to some rainy mushroomy place and learn how to pick them myself!

Grunioning yesterday, and I'm an idiot, because I let the waves top my boots again. But it was much warmer this time, so I just went barefoot and splashed around the waves, chasing grunion which was more fun than just standing around in my rubber boots.
