They're all basically the same, no matter which company owns them. They look similar both inside and out. Mostly the same stores pop up in each one - Sears, Hot Topic, Hallmark. The landscaping is usually different from region to region, though, and here you'll find palm trees and elephant ears, while in Tennessee you might find dogwoods. And the ( Read more... )

I agree with this post wholeheartedly and will probably adopt the earbud idea. Christmas time is the worst because then they start piping that music through the system.

I'm also not a big fan of malls, usually just power-shop my way through, looking for exactly the things I need, and get out as soon as possible.

I liked the idea of an open outdoor mall..would actually be Fun!..:) Agree with they all looking the same and is a never ending Maze.

I do like the outdoor style malls better too. The big mall in Hawaii is open sky outside of the stores. Its really nice, as far as malls go. I may even return there someday. :D

Supermarkets and Malls aren't exactly the same thing, but it is possible to get lost in both which is probably why this entry made me think of this song:

I was a teen in the 80's... back then, I loved the Mall.

Now, not so much... and headphones are a must when I do visit.
