Okay, so I'm not totally insane by thinking There Will Be Blood was totally insane? Because that was a seriously bad movie and yet there it was up for awards and that shit. I saw No Country for Old Men and thought it was shit too, but I seem to be in an even greater minority for that. Javier Bardem played decently - I don't know why they were raving up and down about him - and I like Tommy Lee Jones...but both of those movies just left me sitting there thinking

I'm sorry, am I supposed to be automatically impressed with this?

It felt like they were both so sure they'd be Oscar contenders the creators just dropped a lot of typical award fodder into a pot, turned on the stove, and left the house.
