Eli would only sleep on his stomach, so he spent more time practicing to roll from stomach to back, I guess.
He doesn't get angry when he rolls, he just lies there, looks around, plays with his feet (starts whining after a while, of course). The main issue is that he can't really fall asleep that way and so I need to come in and flip him back.
Andy is a big paranoic when it comes to SIDS, so we've always put our kids to sleep on their backs. Ezra rarely falls asleep on his stomach, and occasionally, Andy will even flip him. But he just gets so frustrated that he gets stuck, he bows out his entire body and balances on his stomach or even chest, with his legs high in the air.
Our pediatrician was ok with him sleeping on his stomach, as he had pretty good head control early on. Made a huge difference in his sleep. We're pretty unparanoid parents overall, so decided to let him be...
