So the data center I work in is a giant building, upwards of 250,000 square feet, and for those of you that know commercial buildings you know how massive that is. A little over half is actually developed -either server space or mechanical rooms- and slowly as the client base increases they are constantly having construction done to accommodate

I feel like the idea behind unions is good to protect people from large corporations taking advantage of people. Unions were brought about for coal-miners and people working with electricity after it was discovered. Unions put in place many of the safety regulations we have now, and they protect lives.

I feel like unions unintentionally have another affect, though, and that is that they protect lazy workers and make it harder for the hard-working man to move up as fast.

I don't like unions, personally. If I am treated poorly by my employer, I simply find a different one. Intelligent, hard-working people are valuable, and they can get any job.
