[Edit: Nixed on the grounds of the comment from yagagriswold. Back to the drawing board ... ]

I hope I’m not getting people sick of this name-choosing process! But I’d like to run one more idea past you folks:

I like it, though not necessarily the "A Pro-Tax network" part.

I think its too long and doesn't sound--to my ears--like an organization's name. If I ran into you at a conference and you said, "Hi, I'm psongster, from Invest in Our Country" I'd think "Huh? What did she say?"

Sigh. Thanks. That's extremely useful feedback.

Yes, I keep coming back to that investment idea, and it's certainly going to be a key one in things I/we write.

Looking at what comes up on Google, though, it's a phrase that comes up in a lot of different contexts -- investments in the private property sense, energy, rebuilding New Orleans. I'm not sure what most people would imagine it means.

And it turns out that both the .org and the .com domains are already taken. It looks like they're up for a bidding process, maybe, but I don't know how that works and it looks like it could get expensive. That isn't gating, necessarily, but it's discouraging.

It does seem that these particular domain names are being squatted on. But FYI, you shouldn't check this by just typing the names into your browser. Some ISPs will automatically squat on any unregistered domain name you type in, just so they can sell it to you. Go to http://www.networksolutions.com/whois/ to get unadulterated availability data.

I like PRO-America. It seems like a broader concept than mine, but I like its mood.

Fair Value foregrounds those vexed fairness issues, and sounds to me like the Wise Use groups.

Thank you so much! I am indeed interested.

Funny how the word "millionaire" has changed meaning since I was a kid. Back then, it meant someone who had more than a million dollars in net worth. Now it increasingly means someone who has earned more than a million dollars in a year. Sure, there's been inflation, but not *that* much inflation. What it really reflects is the skewing of the income curve up ... which it sounds like members of this group understand.

I am so not eligible for membership in that group, but I'm glad to know about them!
