Just in case members were not aware, there is help out there if you cannot afford medication for whatever reasons. Currently I'm aware that Enbrel and Humira both have patient assistance programs.
Based on your income, you may be eligible for financial aid or completely free prescriptions from these companies. It's kind of hard to believe, but it's 100% true.
-
Enbrel helps through the
ENcourage Foundation.
-Humira helps through
their program provided by the
Abbott Patient Assistance program. (You will want to click that second link first if you decide to enroll with them)
Now both of these are injections. That is, you will most likely be giving yourself the shots. The pain for each individual varies, but I have had plenty of experience with this to tell you that it's completely worth it.
If anyone else is aware of other programs, please feel free to let it be known in the comments.
