okay...i've been doing some research and, despite having P for 15+ years, I realized I never pursued anything my dermas didn't recommend/bring up. SO...several questions

Hi, and I hope you get some useful information from the group.
It was a long time ago, but I seem to recall that during my pregnancy my P got a bit worse. Every pregnancy is unique, and a lot of women have improvement at that time, but I had gestational diabetes and apparently that adds so much stress to one's system that it makes other auto-immune related conditions get worse. My P was not very extensive at the time, but while pregnant and nursing I stopped using the topical meds that were pretty much all that was available back then, and experienced a mild flare. Then after awhile I got used to being a mom, my stress level went down, and my P improved temporarily. ;)
My blood pressure has always been low to normal, which is a trait I inherited from my mom. None of my meds have seemed to make much difference there. Only old age (will be 62 presently) seems to be making my BP inch upward, though it's still in the acceptable range.
The only side effects I had from an injection was when I was involved in a Remicade study. It is
( ... )
1. When I was pregnant my psoriasis and PA went into remission. It was amazing. It can back full force 6 weeks post-partum and has actually gotten worse.
2. I take Enbrel (and have taken Humira in the past) and my blood pressure has not been effected.
3. The only side effects I have experienced are injection site reactions and those have been mild.
Enbrel works really well for my psoriatic arthritis but does not help the psoriasis at all. Humira is exactly the opposite, which is why I had to switch. I mostly rely on steroid solutions to control my psoriasis, and luckily it is mostly limited to my scalp. I am bummed that Enbrel will not help the psoriasis too. I sometimes think of switching to Remicade to see if that would work for both.
