you mean like making a blend, then making it all one layer?

if that's what you mean, go to Layers - Merge - Merge all Flatten. That'll make it one layer.

That's not what I meant. After you finished making the blend, you have to compress it to make the size smaller. At least that's what you have to do in Photoshop.

...you have the choice not to compress any image unless you want to, of course. But I personally tend to always use the JPEG Optimizer on wallpapers (as I explained here), simply because it's good to get that file size down!

Honestly, I don't know about PhotoShop, but compressing image files in PSP7 isn't a given. Rather it's a bonus! (smile)

It sounds like you want to make the file size of an image smaller -- correct?

After you've finished working with your blend, then you can use the JPEG Optimizer. (You'll need to merge first, by the way.)

Go to File > Export > JPEG Optimizer.

You can set your own compression values, or 'Use Wizard' to set them.

This is especially a good idea when you're dealing with really large images (like wallpapers) that you want to put at a website, as they can be very large files to transfer and host! (smile)

I'd recommend saving the original blend in the .psp format prior to merging, personally. The Export function replaces the a standard .jpg Save.

Let me know if you have additional questions!
