I got an error with PSP7 while making some icons, and I was pretty weirded out by it. Has anyone else ever had
this happen (sorry it's large, I didn't want to mess much with psp like that)? And if so any idea what might have caused it? I know PSP7 is extremely buggy by nature, but whatever was wrong with it, it was affecting Photoshop and my FTP

I've never seen this one (and I've seen a lot of crazy behaviors from PSP7 over the years)...
Are you current with all the updates/fixes? (Check the memories/tags to locate same, please.)
The fact that this is messing with more than one software is frankly pretty disturbing.
Have you run any anti-spyware softwares lately? Do you have a good anti-virus software installed? (Yes, I am paranoid about these things, for the record!)

I'm glad to hear that closing out and re-opening helps, but it is annoying to be doing it all the time, I agree!
Wish I had better advice -- but maybe another member will (???). Good luck!

I do have excellent anti-virus and anti-spyware programs, and neither have found anything harmful (this laptop is only about three months old as well, and I've had no other problems, so I don't think it's something seriously wrong with the computer?) anywhere.
Of course, it's possible it could have been Photoshop messing things up as well, as I was doing a lot of switching back and forth between the two, and at one point any windows (load, save, open, etc) in PS refused to actually show up. I had to restart that program as well.
However, whatever the problem was, it hasn't re-occured since I restarted both programs (and closed out a lot of others--perhaps the poor computer felt overloaded), so hopefully it was just a weird one-time glitch!
