Air conditioning is a $1000 option on the Nissan Versa, $1700 on the Hyundai Accent, and apparently not available on any Kia with a stickshift.

Unless we wind up with a Ford Fiesta, I'm getting tempted to try a white car and extra fans powered by the cigarette lighter.

Are you another stick shift addict? Rich and I have been hunting for anything in the smaller-than-a-minivan-but-bigger-than-a-malibu range, but can't find anything in our approximate price range that still comes with a stick. (Our dream a few years ago was a Saturn Vue, but...) We have a small car right now, and if we get a second car, we need something with space.

We'd consider a CVT, but don't really want to pay for that. Otherwise, yeah, we strongly prefer a stick to a regular automatic.
