Okay, let's kick this thing off with a bang!  This isn't so much of a prompt as an elaborate and somewhat crackish story concept that I am just too lazy to write, because I don't do kid!fic (well, never say never - but I'm afraid to try it

I have nothing constructive to add. I just wanted to say that this is adorable and I'd definitely read something along those lines, slashy or not. :D

Especially the time they spring the kid on Lassiter because of something they have planned, and Lassiter is completely awkward and almost calls them a couple times but instead sends terse text messages that attempt to hide his slightly panicky inexperience. Except underneath he really does like kids, and when they get back to his place both he and the kid are asleep on the couch in a pile with everything a mess around them.

Or something.

Ooh! If they're in their 40s, then it's future!fic, and Jules could totally have a kid of her own by then or something (while of course keeping her job, a la the Chief; I bet Scott would be a great home-dad). Adorable mental images of resulting playdates!
