I oh-so-cleverly opened up the envelope with my x-rays and report, keeping the huge "Confidential: to be opened by referring physician ONLY" sticker in tact and without tearing the envelope in any form

It's still scary. *is a great big chicken* I have this massive phobia of all things medical. Stems back to when I was 14 and watched my great aunt die in hospital, then worsened the times when Dad had cancer and was in hospital for weeks on end, made worse still when I was the one having operations, and again by the time when I had my tonsils out and my throat started bleeding like mad days after and we had to go to the ER, and the time when I spent all afternoon alone in the emergency room crying because I was sick, parents out of state, and my grandmother thought I was faking.
Wow, I actually have more examples, but the list is getting kinda long. In short - any sort of medical stuff gives me the creeps.
