i'm really bored right now, but i feel like writing--this would be a perfect time for one of those surveys that people do from time to time on here, but since there aren't any around i'll just make something up myself--feel free to do this one yourself if you wish, since it'd be interesting to read others' responses...

Ha, I remember the deafening experience of ATR. That was very uncool. But was this drunk thing something I was around for, or is it one of those things that I wasn't around for but I prolly know because I'm a freak?

oh yeah, the CRUSHING PAIN of ATR made me temporarily forget that i dragged you to that show too! that was the night of your rough-housing!

and you should know about the cat power thing because you were there! don't you remember that night? maybe not, because i recall you getting pretty drunk too--we went with most of the 454 contingent & h., and you me & h. hung out together for the most part drinking whiskey sours--and i know you remember the embarrassing thing, because you were the one who reminded me of it when you brought it up a couple of weeks ago as we drove to the airport (i don't know, maybe its not so embarrassing to you but it surely is to me)...

Ah, I remember now. I remember having to walk from 454 to a show, I just didn't remember being drunk, but now its all coming back to me and I definitely was out of it. The show is definitely a haze, though I do think there was a point where someone (A?) was asking if I was alright cause it seemed like I was asleep standing up. I remember the afterwards now too, and amusingly, when I asked you about it a couple of weeks ago, I didn't recall being there, but now I do. Embarassing?! Ha! I wish I would be so embarassed like that!

I was gonna question the rough-housing comment, but then I remembered the ATR show was the Jon Spencer show. You mean the time I shoved that moshing idiot to the ground because I saw this totally hot drunk smoking chick who was making eyes at me but then he starts shoving people around like an idiot so I lost her in the crowd? Who know what could've happened had I gotten up to her. She coulda been the future Mrs. G!

couldn't have been A. because we were "divorced" by that time--i had even reclaimed up all of my board games by that point, although it had only been a couple of weeks prior--ah, the melee of my life that was autumn 1998...

this is all i really remember of the night:

- my ingenious plan to get all of our party on the guestlist, which failed magnificently and we all had to pay
- buying drinks for you & h.
- talking loud to p. during andy's set which got me the shushing
- going back with you for another round
- being at the front of the stage during the smoke set, running into the JK brothers and having to explain my wig (how i remembered i was wearing it)
- show ending and my embarrassment

Who know what could've happened had I gotten up to her. She coulda been the future Mrs. G!

keep thinking that, kid, maybe one day you'll believe it...
