Well, I'm boycotting Irish pubs because they don't allow children on children's days. Looks like I'll have to stay home.
I found out someplace - maybe it was on LJ - that tomorrow is alos "No Pants Day". I think there is a website, but I'm at work and not able to go searching for it right now. Trust me. Of course, I would not suggest mixing children, pantlessness, and tequila. That could lead to wearing pajamas to court. I don't wish that on anyone.
i think "no pants day" came to being from an excess of cinco de mayoage - and think of all the children conceived as a result! it all ties in together - it takes us all to make the world go 'round, why can't everyone see that?
in any case, i'm sure that the mexicans had all of this in mind when they defeated the french army on that fateful day - "thanks to our accomplishments, western civilization can drink to their heart's content!"

and according to wikipedia, its also feast day for a number of roman catholic priests, liberation day in ethiopia, buddha's birthday in parts of east asia, and indian immigration day in guyana - and here i was eating tacos for all these years...
zarathustra94 and I are a tentative, but probable, "yes", the firmness of which will depend on whether or not zarathustra94 can get off early enough for us to make it over there by 6:30pm (friday traffics are really awful, so...).
If we can't make it, we'll give you a call to let you know (email me your cellphone number just to make sure we have the right one).
okay, i've made the reservation for 6, so you're in - and if you can't make it, no big deal - we couldn't get a tatami room (parties of 10 & 12 occupying the two rooms) so we won't feel guilty if the party drops to 4...
i was trying to think of a shifty way to code my cellphone number for you, but then i realized i could just email it instead which makes it much simpler but less fun...
oh yeah, especially when we lived right down the street from it - leaving that, figo, and star provisions (plus the occasional splurge at bacchanalia) was one of the hardest things to say goodbye to when we moved to subsuburbia...
we don't really go there now because the lines are just too long, and also because we've got a good amount of taquerias on the southside of the city so we try to save our intown meals for things we can't have near home (middle eastern, indian, etc) - but i've always liked it...i introduced my parents to my father-in-law at taqueria del sol, now that i think about it...
