For some strange reason - well, probably because I have about a gazillion musician and film "friends" there - I did both a bulletin and a blog in My Space land celebrating the High Holy Month of The Best of the Year lists. While I have yet to put together mine, I did mention a few items that will certainly show up. I also asked folks to send me links to their favorite places for Top Tens and Best Ofs, or to send me their own. So far I've received a grand total of ZERO responses, but I fully expect that number to double or triple before this time next year.

I suppose it is some kind of Karma Ass Kick for cheating on Live Journal.

We just ate bowls of stuffing (or dressing as they call it in some places - I grew up calling it both, but mainly "stuffing"). We had a box of the stuff up in the cupboard and since we are up late and it is Christmas Eve (oops...I see now that it is actually Christmas Day), it seemed appropriate. We are listening to a radio show - "Floatation Devices" that you might quite like. Music from the "outer ( ... )

I still haven't even visited myspace - there's so much stuff going on with that page that my dial-up can't handle it - i tried to see something you wrote on there, falling one of your links lately, but after 2 minutes of attempted loading it still wasn't happening - i won't stop you from your swinging ways, but all i'm asking is that you save some of that listing stuff for us over here too...

Its strictly "dressing" as far as our family is concerned - don't know if that's some southern thing or not - stuffing just makes me think of stove top (not that i have a problem with that) - although we went out for brunch today (more on that later, probably) and they offered "stuffing", so i got to see how the other side lives..."stuffing" is probably the more grammatically appropriate word though, as i might not even be able to follow through on my long-planned macaroni and cheese dinner...

happy holidays (secret code from one satan-worshipper to another) on this day!

Merry Christmas, and I hope you have a wonderful day, filled with loads of fun and joy.

I am doing a top 20, as at work we do a top 5, but to tease here is 5:
Coil, Current 93, Raconteurs, Brightblack Morning Light, Scott Walker.

Yep I need a CD of your stuff.

And you tease with 3 albums that I had intended to buy at some point this year but didn't (Coil, Current 93, and Scott Walker). I've never actually heard any Scott Walker from 1971 on and have never known where to go - would I be recommended to hear Tilt before the Drift?

I'll drop your set off the next time I'm in the store, although it'll have to wait until 2007 - I'm really anal about these kind of things (bet you'd never have guessed), and it would kill me to hear another good 2006 album after I've already put together a best-of list - so many problems in this world, and yet crap like that still haunts me...

and merry happy to you and all the wax crew past and present!

The tree has been a big anti-climax. By the time I went to bed last night at 2am, the tree had been put up with all ornaments and lighting at least 3 feet from the ground, but aside from a "what the hell?" look when she got up this morning she's just treated it like background scenery - but at least its not strewn about and none of us have been electrocuted...

CDs coming your way once I get everything sorted - ideally it'll be out sometime this week, depending on how the artwork fares...

I'd love to hear your best-of CD...I'm sure I'm missing out on some wonderful stuff.

And please post cute Christmas pics of A-chan...my fiancee loves the ones she's seen so far.

Dear Scott and Johnnie,

I would very much like a CD.

Sincerely,

Eric

P.S. We received your card and wonderful photos. Thank you!

P.P.S. I have a copy of my new EP to send you if you're interested. It's a little more electronic than the first one and I know that isn't necessarily your bag, but if you want one let me know.

Johnnie's not here anymore. He and I had a falling out sometime between when I went to bed and when I woke up. That guy does it to me all the time. I don't know why I put up with him...oh wait, yeah I do.

CDs were coming to you anyway, but you can be sure of it now. And I always like to hear your new stuff! I've just been a little lazy on lj commenting lately to tell you so...
