60%? I suck! And I was so jazzed when I knew the first four, I was all ojv('Man, its easy!') Owel, at least the one I got right weren't guesses. Actually, I don't know why the hell I got #9 wrong, guess I wasn't thinking.
You were probably the only one who could have got #9 right without guessing, come to think of it - I think only you has seen me in all 4 capacities - ah well...
I'm trying to think of the 2 other ones you got right, insinuating the ones you got wrong - oh yeah, i guess i can look that up, can't i...
to tell you the truth, even i'm not sure that the "conversation with girls" answer is correct, but that's all i can process at the moment...
Its an inside joke that goes way back to one of my college roommates going out to the frats during rush week & signing in under a fake name, whereupon he'd do all this ridiculous stuff that made the frats regret they'd try to recruit him - "bill largent" was the name he used, which we later appropriated as a catch-all for any time we had to begrudgingly give our name to something - considering i advertise my name on my journal, you'd think i don't care too much about my identity these days but i've got to have my pseudonym regardless...
i was rather upset with myself because i thought i had a thorough knowledge of you over the years to score better on your quiz than i did - i second-guessed the seafood question (i remmber you're from crawfishland and have talked about low country boils but you don't write about it often) and i knew better than the nautilus but just like riki rachtman i fell for the nostalgia...
You've seen Inland Empire already? I'm jealous. Think it opens here in a week or two.
Would be interested in your recipe for paneer vindaloo. Most of the recipes involving paneer that I've found on the net have been pretty dull. I could swap it for a recipe of mine, although you'll need to specify if there's anything you don't eat or aren't partial to (I'm not a vegetarian).
Is David Lynch opening the movie in Edinburgh? I thought that was the condition for opening the film in a new city, but apparently he didn't come to Atlanta and we got it anyway. I highly recommend it and when you see it, you can scroll back a few posts to see my review and interpretation of it which is very long. Either most of my friends haven't seen the movie or else they were so frightened by my lunatic ramblings because I got no comments on it for the longest time. Then again, you'll be getting it double-time since I wrote a similar-but-different-but-equally-long review of it for the new Franks

I'm not aware that he is. It could be he started out with that caveat but then changed his mind. My beloved Cameo cinema which will be showing it will also be using it to inaugurate its new digital projector, so much excitement will ensue. I deliberately didn't read your review but will definitely do so after I've seen it

Wow, I didn'T know vindaloo was a British thing. I also learned today that sushi originated in the Philippines in the 4th century also - what an interesting food trivia day its been...
and thanks for the daal recipe! That's something really practical for us since we both love daal but never eat it at home - as it turns out we probably even have 99% of the ingredients regularly as it is, and its march now so our weather is probably going to get about about the same temperature as a scottish summer so nice timing on top of that - thanks!
