Heroes meta! I haven't done one of these in forever.
Previously on Heroes Peter enacted one of his worse plans, diving head first into a serial killers brain. And Matt left his empty body sitting on the floor of his basement and went to go heat up some left over Ratatouille.
So we enter Sylar's mind and thus begins the gayest episode of Heroes since the untimely demise of a certain Someone. And we hit the ground running with some good old Freudian phallic imagery as Peter bangs a big pipe on the ground to get Sylar's attention. Sylar proceeds to feel him up. Is this for real? Sylar thinks Peter's random appearance is too good to be true and the possibility that Peter may just be a figment of his overactive imagination breaks Sylar's heart. Then they play tag through eerily empty streets of New York.
Cut to the Cirque de Freak and I like Samuel a lot less since he orchestrated Lydia's death. He looks like he's coming off a bender. It's kind of groudy.
Turns out, Bennet never experimented with his hair. I wonder if Damian's power includes the crazy camera angles or if that's just the Heroes team going a little wonky. And is it just me, or does the special gone haywire look kind of like a younger Tim Roth? But not nearly as awesome.
Back in Sylar's fantasy nightmare, Peter is feeling aggravated. Sylar is feeling desperate for his attention, love and cock. And as I watched them together every word out of Sylar's mouth became code for "have sex with me." And then they invade each other's personal space some. And the WALL appears. Because "The Wall" is literal.
A lot of this episode is traipsing around peoples' subconscious minds. Bennet kills a special because like gay people, all specials know one another. They're all on a giant list serve and have monthly orgies meetings. I smell a hate crime. And Claude watches Noah masturbate. I MISS CLAUDE. Thompson tells Noah to get laid, that maybe Sandra can relax his "trigger finger." -wink, wink-
Gretchen is so sensible. I'm surprise they haven't killed her off as punishment yet.
I think I'd find Bennet's newly revealed backstory a lot more interesting if I'd ever cared about him before. Claire's kind of a BAMF in this episode, I enjoy her (for now).
Sylar and Peter have a heart to heart about Nathan which made my soul weep. As much as I enjoy the gay subtext, it doesn't change the fact that SYLAR KILLED THE MOST IMPORTANT PERSON IN PETER'S LIFE. But I still ship it (apparently) because Sylar's like, "I'M SORRY! WHY WON'T YOU LOVE ME, PETER, MY HEART. PLEASE LOVE ME." And I'm like "FUCKING SQUEEEEE! ♥ ♥ ♥"
They reach a break through in their relationship and the glowy light of forgiveness shines through the wall as "All You Need is Love" plays in the background.
And Deadpool is waiting on the other side of the Fourth Wall with the Silver Slash award and a few choice Petlar printouts. Just kidding. Actually it's Stashwick and he appears to have murderous intent. Oh, intrigue.
Next week is the season finale and that makes me kind of sad because I was just getting into it! I'm not ready for it to be over yet.
