... why yes, I'm fine, this challenge didn't drive me mad at all :>
No but really, I kept making icons and at some point I was like whoa, I could make ALT SQUARESSSS and I tried to do that but then I couldn't make up my mind about the axes and some spots were empty anyway so I was about to make EVEN MORE icons to fill those empty spots, meanwhile my MAIN SQUARES were still missing half the icons... and I managed to stop myself but barely xD
Also, did you notice I kind of arranged the alts in a sort of rainbow? Are you proud of me, even though it's not as beautiful and rainbowy as your rainbows? <3
The bottom square comes before the top square because the simple icons go before the complex icons. DON'T QUESTION ME.

lmao I know what you mean!! This challenge is just TOO inspiring, I always want to go wild when there's a challenge that requires PLANNING and SPREADSHEETS and it actually wants you to make everything connected. I am weak against this shit.

The text use on the top square is fantastic. You used great fonts. There are so many gorgeous complex icons here, but for some reason I just really love 71. The grungy look, colors, and light are stunning.

I'm surprised you picked 71 because I feel it's like an underdog in this set? I did spend quite some time on its lighting and contrast, but I didn't think it would stand out among all the close ups and text and shiny things. So yeah, really glad you like it! ♥

Actually, crop closeness was supposed to be only on the x axis, but it happened a couple of times on the y axis early on, so I decided to go with it!
Also. If you compare the icons in the bottom square with the icons in the top square, you'll notice that crop closeness happened even on the z axis - the simple icon almost always has a closer crop than the complex icon in the same spot, the exceptions being 6-15 and 9-18, where it's hard to tell which one is closer. But since I didn't do this on purpose, I decided to omit crop closeness on the z axis.
As usual, I'm thrilled that you like my text and compositions, because you know I think you're the best at complex icons ♥ ♥ ♥
And yes! The pattern in 14 is people xD Grim reapers follow Death wherever he goes and they're all dressed in black and I wanted to make something like this painting of Magritte combined with this one. I tried to use the screencaps, like this one, but it didn't work, so I used the original painting in the end ( ... )

I love the effect on 1, and the colors and crop of 2 are amazing, so unique! The texture/border on 4 fits perfectly and the crop on 5 looks great! The bottom row is also really interesting, especially the last 2 ones have really interesting lighting!
The top square is also gorgeous, I love the top row: the creativity of 10 is just great. And the colors + text on 12 is gorgeous! I also love 14, the texture/blend/text work is just perfect! And the text on 16 and 17 are great as well, especially 16 has really original placing!
Then ALL the alts! It's amazing that you made 60!! extra icons. Some faves are 22, 24, 42, 52, 58, 61, 65, 65 70 and 75!
