Believe it or not, in Paris, some of the washrooms were unisex! You'd be washing your hands and a man would walk by to use the urinal. They had "half" doors, Western saloon style and the men would pee hidden from the waist down. Usually the urinals were off to the side. H nearly died the first time it happened. From then on I had to check whether the washroom was women only or both before she would set foot in one!
