so.
the dog got skunked Monday night.
it smelled sooo bad.
got the peroxide/baking soda/dawn misture and she slept in the garage after being dosed with it.
she howled all night.
i dont blame her. its scarey out there.

My shoes smell like skunk.
the kids binders smell of skunk.

could be a lot worse tho.
right?

i still get a whiff everynow and then...but i tell ya..that peroxide baking soda thing worked wonders!!

When my dog Shina was very young she got skunked. Sleeping outside was no issue, she did that most nights anyways. The drive to the dog wash, that was another issue. They used tomato juice on her, as well as some other stuff, conditioner with heavy perfume.

We had a pet skunk for a while, a feral skunk that decided to become a house pet. We gave some thought to taking her glands out but decided that would be cruel since we kept the hope she'd go back to the wild. She never sprayed, was the sweetest character. She was killed by a raccoon. I always wondered if she had been somebody's pet or if she'd not had working glands, just a birth defect.

Water moccasins stink like skunks, only not so pungent. Last month my husband was working in the yard and told me he thought he'd scared a skunk. I told him to get the f*ck OUT of there, fast! He didn't know about water moccasins having a musk.

the worse we get is a pissed off buncha bees every now and then.
oh. and that skunk, above...but tymber pissed it off, no doubt.

the mixture we used worked like a charm!.
still get a whiff every now and then, but my nose could work for the FBI.
i smell everything.-lol

the misture we sued was awesome...worked very well.
tym just has a whiff on her, but we're going to the camp this weekend and the sea water should clean it off of her.

Good luck with the skunky smell. I can only imagine what the teachers are saying about your kids' school supplies smelling like skunk. teehee

the kids were embarrassed at first, but what can ya do?:)
