It's interesting that she is either divorced twice or divorced once and didn't bother divorcing the second time she ended a marriage (the wording is ambiguous). JKR didn't mention divorce in the wizarding world in the books--Blaise Zabini's mother was suspected of being a serial bride after being widowed repeatedly (under suspicious circumstances) but we don't hear about other characters in the books being divorced, or even about kids at Hogwarts being children of divorce (even Muggle-born kids).

Snape's parents, for instance, can't be the only couple in wizarding history who fought over the fact that one of them was magical and the other not, and the result of all of those fights in all of those marriages can't have been the couples staying together. Not that JKR could show everything (she wrote a backstory for Dean Thomas she never managed to fit into the books), but when the series comes from someone who started writing them after a divorce, it seems like a rather large omission.
