I've never seen Boa vs Python (is that the one with Emmett?), but I loved this story anyway. It does seem a very Brendan thing to do - get mad because he's not needed, without realizing being wanted is just as good, if not better!

I liked the jealous!Brendan part, too - kind of gave me shivers.

And the ending was just right, in my opinion.

Very nicely done!

Yes, Emmett is from Boa vs Python. The bit with jealous!Brendan slipped in from nowhere, so I'm glad it worked!

I feel bad for Brendan. Always late, getting called away on the weekend *sigh*. To KNOW that all of the crap is bringing you down and is making you feel useless...SUCKS!

On the other hand Emmett KNEW what Brendan did for a living, KNEW all of the crap involved in being in a relationship with an FBI agent. That being said Emmett just went with it.

I'm glad the got it worked out.

You know what I heard helps in a relationship?

Talking.

Seeing they are men, they should put more effort into talking for 5 minuets every month. *snort*

OMG - I can just see them lying together in the dark, and Brendan's 'you don't need me' nearly broke my heart. But you're right Emmett's been on his own so long, he really doesn't 'need' anyone. He wants Brendan and I love the words you gave him about building a life and having him move and upheave his entire life to be with Brendan.

This was just lovely, hon. It felt just right. Thank you!
