Leave me a comment saying "Resistance is Futile."

• I'll respond by asking you five questions so I can satisfy my curiosity
• Update your journal with the answers to the questions
• Include this explanation in the post and offer to ask other people questions

moku_youbi asked me these!

1. 日本語を話すことができるわからなかった。アビ-の漢字は本当にすばらしいよ。 どこで勉強したか。
Heh, actually I asked another friend what the kanji would be and c/p-ed it. I AM NOT AWESOME ENOUGH TO KNOW KANJI. :I But I am Slytherin enough to cheat. >:)

2. Are you still doing art?
I am, but not terribly actively. It's all hobby stuff now. And I'm okay with that! I'm working on this atm. The stuff that I finish enough to bother showing other people is at my devart.

3. If you could pick on television/movie character to be, who would it be? Would you change things they've done?
To be? Someone who's had a really awesome life. HAHAHA how about Uhura from New Trek? She's badass AND she gets to make out with Spocklar. That's a sufficient amount of win, I think.

4. Tell me about your new apartment. Are you still on the upper west side/live with Blaire and Faith/have a million cats?
Well it's been my (and Blair's) apartment for three years now, so it doesn't feel that new anymore. It's on Vermilyea (where the Post Office is), so it's right around the corner from the old place! The pub and it's delicious Magner's is still mine, muahaha! We have but three cats, which is one more cat than we wanted, but this is what happens when you offer to watch a cat for someone who then moves to California. Buddy is a good cat, however, and has defeated at least one mouse already, so this is mostly okay. Even if his butt is made of death. ALSO! Faith is Faith no longer. He is now Gabriel! It is very exciting, but it is exciting in Chicago now, and so we see him rather less, alas.

5. What's the most recent cultural thing you've done? Tell me all about it!
Yesterday Rob and I went to the AMNH and saw a really cool exhibit on the Silk Road! A lot of the stuff I knew about before, but it was very interesting to see the spread of ideas and influences across Eurasia laid out like that. I both wanted it to be more interactive and was relieved that it wasn't, as there were lots of kiddies running around and it was hard getting in to examine things in detail as it was.
We also went into the....Hall of Human Evolution, I think it is, which I've seen before, but somehow he had never gone in, the culture-less heathen. With the recent flurry of interest in the subject, it was nice to go through it again. Neanderthals! We recently had a discussion about the ethics of Neanderthal cloning, as scientists are apparently getting to the point where they might be able to replicate their DNA sufficiently to do so. (Basically: no, because there is no way we could ensure that such a child would have a healthy life, mentally and physically. Cloning a sheep is one thing. Neanderthals could talk.)
