That's just disgusting. Yet millions of people will watch it and laugh hysterically, and Jesus will just be the butt of their jokes. Sickening.

No, He will never just be that, no matter howevermuch they would like it to be so.

While that is certainly a shame and heartbreaking to us, we must remember: Our Lord is sovereign! He does as He pleases and has all power and all authority!

Personally, this type of thing doesn't bother me. Maybe it's because I know that Christ is bigger than that, and that TV is a liberal influence in American society. I don't get worked up over the way that things are portrayed on TV. I know that my life's worth and Christ's influence on the world is not determined and/or deterred by television or any media for that matter. *shrug* but that's just me.

It doesn't bother me too much personally either Michelle, but it does present a stumbling block for others. I am strong in my faith, as you are, so I am not threatened by it. Jesus said we would be persecuted and mocked, it's just becoming more popular right now, which is just another sign of how our country is literally going to hell in a handbasket.

Yes, Christ is bigger than this. Greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world.

I don't bash anyone over the head with my faith, I live it out. Most of us do who are like minded on LJ. It's just interesting to me how suddenly this type of entertainment is being endorsed.

Things that make you go Hmmmmmmm ... :)

I heard about it but i never knew what the episode was about. To people like me who are just now starting their journey to God and haven't really accepted Jesus fully that could harm their journey, i'm just glad that i already know that television is too liberal and anti-religious so i don't watch it that much.

Welcome to my LJ!

I hope I can help you on your journey to God. He's a good guy.

There is alot out there to make us stumble over our faith and beliefs, whatever they may be. That's why it is so important to know the truth and seek the truth.

With all the new media, "reality" shows, fantasy games, etc real life and real faith get a little blurred in with someone else's fantasy of why we are here in the first place.

You stated it well. It is a journey. One step at a time.
