While most people at this hour would be focused on the coffee maker, Callisto was instead engaged in a more than cursory study of the kitchen knives.

All things considered, it was probably kind of disturbing.

Veronica's mind was definitely on coffee when she stumbled into the kitchen.

"Morning," she greeted Callisto. "You finding everything you need okay?"

"Morning."

Callisto glanced up at Veronica. "Depends on your definition of everything I need," she murmured, before raising her voice. "I'm not in any danger of dropping dead from a lack of life's little necessities, if that's what you're asking."

"Well, that's a start," Veronica said, moving around to start a pot of coffee. "I don't have class for a couple of hours. Want breakfast?"

Callisto shrugged and put the knife she was currently examining back where she'd found it. "Why not?"
